Pack up the tent…
Pat, Maura, Megan and Emmett are gearing up for the first camping trip of the summer. All are very excited. I will be staying home in the comfort of my own bed. Darby and Adeline are just a bit young for sleeping in a tent, hopefully next year we can all go for the fun.
They are going to Moose Hillock Campground in Warren. I mean c’mon what kid wouldn’t be excited for this place
I think Pat is just as excited more excited than the kids. And I will have a mini vacation here at home with just 2 kids!! Maybe I am the most excited one!
And I will leave you with a few recent layouts. I am really trying to scrap as much as I can, to justify this massive amount of craft supplies that I have.
Adeline grabbed the camera away from me on this one and took her own picture, I think she did a pretty good job!
And here is my little lover of all things boyish
Hope you have a great Tuesday!
Be your own kind of beautiful
This photo says so many things to me. It says she is breathtaking, she is kind, she is so thoughtful, she is my hard worker, she is one of a kind, she is a leader to the little ones, she is funny, she is sometimes a bit crazy, and she is so very much loved. You can’t tell her she is beautiful, she doesn’t want to hear it. You can tell her she is cool, that she wants to hear. I hope someday she realizes that she can be cool and the tomboy that she loves to be and she can still be beautiful.
And oh yes, you will be seeing this picture on a layout soon. I hope I can do it justice.
I am so challenged…
OK, so I have been trying to participate in more scrapbook challenges around the web. It gives me a good jumping off point to start a page and def. makes me try new things. Here are a few I have done this past week
here is their sketch
and here is my take
on the Studio Calico blog this weeks challenge was to use 5 colors on a layout, here is my take on that
(I hope light blue and dark blue counts as 2 different colors!!)
and this last one is a challenge I gave to myself-I wanted to use limited embellishments and a bigger photo than I would normally use, and here is the result
Have a great day! So what have you challenged yourself to do lately??
Wordless Wednesday:Fun at Santa’s Village
Goodbye Preschool, Hello Kindergarten
Friday was Megan’s last day of preschool. She didn’t really fully understand until it was time to leave that she was leaving her school & her friends. Next year she will be going to the same elementary school as Maura, previously only known as “Maura’s school”. She is a bit sad, but knowing Megan it will be no time at all before she is ready for a new adventure.
I will leave you today with a little bit of hampsome (Emmett’s word for handsome)
Happy Saturday!
Some crafty goodness
This is my latest page and I just love the way it turned out. I am a big sucker for all things grid/lined up in a row/columns. I wanted this page to be happy and full of love just like the subject matter, and I think my mission was a success! I also took the pics with the Pocketbooth App(http://projectbox.com/pocketbooth/) it has become one of my new favorite ways to take fun pics of the kids. They love hamming it up for the camera and funny how all of the pics end up with at least one tongue sticking out
Almost summer
Well, we are into our last week of school before vacation. The big girls are happy and I am ecstatic! No more back and forth trips several times a day to 2 different schools. My wallet is smiling because my gas bill will be going way down. I am hoping this is a very fun summer, lots of time spent at the lake, lots of popsicles eaten, lots of laughter. Oh and one of the most important things-Miss Adeline will be celebrating a big first birthday this summer. Do these 2 chickies look like they are ready for the summer?
