Sketchabiliites #64

We have a brand new sketch over at Sketchabilities!! Here is the sketch

and here is my take

I am glad I finally scrapped that picture, I just love it! But I always have a hard time with themey pages.  Here is another recent layout that I just love how it turned out. Isn’t it great when you have an idea in your head and it actually translates to a page exactly as you had hoped. That is a great feeling!!

I hope you have a great day!!

Very excited to share with you my projects from the new Paradise Collection from Little Yellow Bicycle. I had tons of fun making these!! Hop on over to the LYB blog and check ‘em out!! Here is a little sneak…confetti!! I mean who doesn’t like confetti!?!?!?!

It has been a sick few days around our house. Hoping tomorrow is a better day. This has been the scene, same couch but a different kid each day:(

I was really excited when I was contacted and asked to make a layout for the Sunday Sketch this week on the Studio Calico blog. It is a great sketch and can be taken in many directions. Here is the sketch(taken from this fabulous layout by Maggie Holmes)

Sketchabilites Reveal

I am very excited to share my very first Sketchabilities layout with you! I had fun with this sketch. I used washi tape to make the background and I loved adding all the little bits & pieces to the burlap string. Here is the sketch and my take on it.

Now hurry up and scrap and go post your layout over at Sketchabilities! And now to catch up on some layouts that I don’t believe I have shared here yet.

Happy Sunday and I hope you have a great week!

Project Life Week #1

One week down, 51 more to go! I really had fun w/ this one, I didn’t stress over it like I did the title page and it all came together. I am just going to do PL easy peasy, no stress, no rules. Some weeks I might have 2 pages, some weeks just 1.

I just love that picture up in the left hand corner. It is from New Year’s Eve, so technically not from Jan.1-6, but I wanted to include it. We lit some fireworks off in the front yard on NYE and I got a great pic of the oldest kids faces. I was holding Adeline, so therefore not in the picture.  We also went ice skating on Saturday. Pat cleared out a spot up in the woods that had a pond that would freeze over. The kids had a great time. Maura picked it up right away. Megan took a few minutes to get the hang of it. Emmett had more fun fooling around trying to fall. Darby was a bit unsure, but she kept telling me how much fun it was! Adeline was left out again, didn’t really think a 1-year-old wanted to go in the cold anyway ;) Maybe she will get ‘em next year. And yes, Darby is wearing a softball helmet. Hey, when you have 5 kids, you gotta use what you got, at least she has a helmet on:) haha!

Ummmm, do you see a pattern here??

I guess my mind has been going in circles lately!!

Actually, I think when inspiration is a bit lacking circles are an easy go-to design element. All 3 of these pages were made w/ the Studio Calico December kit, Brooklyn Flea + add- ons. It is hands down, no contest, my favorite kit ever! I can’t believe that it is still available. This is also the first week of Project Life, I have been snapping away and documenting our days. I think I am going to run my weeks from Saturday-Friday. I like the idea of having the weekends to work on it. Here is my title page, it didn’t really come out the way I wanted, not super happy w/ it. I think it is just so out of my element, the little pockets, it is fairly flat, not much dimension to it, I just have to get used to the concept. But I really love the idea of having this type of scrapbook to look back on.

I hope you all have a great day!!
