Chic Tags Blog Hop

Welcome to the next stop on the Chic Tags blog hop!! I have a post about organizing your December Daily supplies. I am so excited to get started on my DD this year, but first some serious organization was due! I needed to group my supplies and get a better idea of what I have to work with. I found this tray at a consignment shop and knew I could put it to good use. I know Target has the plastic trays that are very popular or you could use a cutlery tray or you might have something already around the house that would be perfect! I pre-cut my papers so I would have them handy. I also know that I am going to use tons of vellum, so I cut out quite a bit of that too. I have my most used inks and a bottle of acrylic paint that I plan on using. I am not going to limit myself to just these products. Some more may get added through the month and maybe take some things out that I don’t end up using.

I have some Christmas Chic Tags right in the back. I want those to be very accessible:)

I also love the 25 Days Snip’em Tags and 25 Days Snip’em Numbers. You get a ton of tags on those sheets!

I am a bit of a sucker for Mason Jars so I had to use one here as well. I think it is great for all of the little badges and wood veneer. Personally I like to dump things out and look through them to find the perfect embellishment. Then once it is found you can throw it all back in! Easy clean up!

I know for me this system should work very well. I know I will be doing regular layouts throughout the month of December, so having a tray that I can move around my craft room is a BIG plus! I tend to make a bit of a mess when crafting:)

So now to the good stuff!

Chic Tags is giving away a December Daily kit on each Design Team member’s blog! So there are a lot of chances to win! You have until 8pm US Pacific Standard Time. Please leave me a comment!

Epiphany Crafts & The Twinery Blog Hop

This has been a fun week for Epiphany Crafts and The Twinery. 2 great companies have teamed up for this week, lots of fun projects!

I have a couple of tips for using twine on your projects. When adding twine to a project I find it helpful to cut just a tiny slit in the side or sides of your paper to hold the twine exactly where you want it. People won’t even notice, you don’t need a very big slit. And your twine “magically” stays in place!!

For charms or buttons I always start my bow then add whatever decoration I am using, then finish the bow. Especially with a bit of a heavier object, it seems to help keep it in place better.

Are you ready for the best part of the blog hop???

I have a project up over at the Epiphany Crafts blog today. This week they have been focusing on Teacher Appreciation/Graduation gifts. It is hard to believe that the school year is coming to a close. We have 6 more weeks till summer vacation!!! Not that I am counting or anything ;)

Epiphany Crafts on HSN

If anyone missed Epiphany Crafts yesterday on HSN you can still check out the fabulous products still available on the HSN website. They introduced 2 new tools yesterday. I can’t wait to get my hands on that banner, that is such a fun and versatile shape! Epiphany Crafts is also introducing the new Design Team on its blog this week and next, be sure to stop by and welcome all of the talented ladies. I still find it hard to believe that I am lucky enough to be able to work with all of them!!

A few pages to share

I hope you have a great day!!!

Project Life catch up

I have some inserts as well, stuff from school, Megan’s basketball certificate, Maura’s MAP testing results, papers from visiting the Science Center in “Hamchester” as Emmett called it. I vow to never get that far behind again, it was a tough catch up. Thank goodness I took tons of notes over the past few weeks, or I never would have remembered all the little details.

Some more pages to share

still loving the Daydream Believer kit!! Although I know March is going to best this one, Crate Paper Storyteller was in my top 2 new releases, can’t wait to get my hands on it!!!

Sketchabilities #65

Another great sketch is up over at Sketchabilities!! Here is the sketch

and here is my page

I really love this sketch, I think it is my favorite so far!! And the doilies, yep I can’t stop using them and I blame this lady here. Stephanie has inspired me to start using them and now it is a slight addiction! I teased her that I might have to join Doilies Anonymous!!  I never ever would have thought that I would be a doily user. Just goes to show that you really need to go outside of your comfort zone every now and then. You just might be surprised what happens :)

I seriously didn’t think I would love the Feb. Studio Calico kit as much as I do! I thought it would be a bit too pink and girly. Boy was I wrong. I love the pop of color with the bright yellows. So far I have made 5 pages with it and I have had it way less than a week. Here are a few

The last one is about Maura’s favorite books right now. She got the dictionary from school, she thinks it is fascinating. All kinds of fun  facts in the back and a sign language chart. She is teaching herself sign language, and she is learning very fast.  I love that she is always wanting to learn new things. I hope it is always that way!!
